There are certain non-negotiables in my life. You know, things that just happen because I don’t (or won’t) consider any other option.
#1—2-4 minutes of developmental movements every day
No matter how crazy busy my day gets, I take a few minutes to organize and regulate my nervous system through movement. It’s the difference between feeling grounded and energized vs. scattered and depleted.
#2—Never forgetting the connection between the brain🧠, body💪, and gut💩
Everything is connected. When we ignore that, we end up compensating, creating more stress, more tension, more gut issues, and more dysregulation.
And of course, when it comes to the work I share with you, my biggest non-negotiable is this:
I will never separate the brain, body, and gut when it comes to movement.
For me, this is huge because so many movement programs ignore the nervous system and the gut’s role in regulation—and that’s when people end up frustrated, in pain, dealing with digestive issues, or stuck in patterns that keep them dysregulated.
I never want movement to be just another thing that exhausts you, stresses you out, or leaves you feeling worse. That’s why every movement I share considers the full picture—your brain, body, AND gut—so you get real, lasting benefits without burnout, compensation, or pain.
The video above shares a quick version of the exercise that you can do at the wall (it’s a great Brain + Body break during your day)!
I recently went live in Brain Body Biome INspo to share how a key muscle in your back plays a huge role in both focus and trunk stability—and how a simple movement can help. 👉 Check out the full video with more backstory on this powerful connection & another version (lying down) of the exercise!
Wishing you Ease,
Kelly
