Halloween is just around the corner, so I thought I’d share one of my favorite costumes ever, the one that earned me the nickname Kelly Kale!

When I asked my talented friend to make it, I didn’t just want a leaf of kale. I wanted the whole bunch.
Let’s just say a bunch of kale isn’t the easiest thing to sit in. And the way I had to stand in that costume? My spine had a few complaints.
The good news? I’ve got plenty of tools to help reset and recover when my body feels out of alignment, just like the sequences we do in my Gutsy Brain Movement membership. These combine nervous system regulation and spinal stability work so your brain and body feel safe enough to move and function with ease.
In the video above, I’m sharing one of those sequences, a gentle, playful series inspired by how we used to move as babies and toddlers. Crawling, rolling, and reconnecting to safety so the spine can move freely again.
If you want to learn more of the backstory on this particular sequence, check out the video over in our free Facebook community during this week’s Brain Body Biome INspo Live.
