Stop doing crunches.
Seriously.
I think a lot of people know deep down that endless crunches don’t actually make them feel better… but they don’t know what to do instead.
Which has me thinking about some of the really cool things I’ve witnessed after helping people approach the core from a completely different lens through the nervous system, brain, and body connection.
Like…
- Watching someone realize their back stopped gripping the second we stopped forcing “ab exercises”
- Seeing people feel more stable walking, lifting, and getting off the floor without doing hundreds of crunches
- Hearing someone say,
“Wait… my core finally feels connected and empowered instead of disconnected.” - Watching organ function improve when the pelvic bowl is respected instead of compressed
- Seeing posture shift naturally once the body no longer feels stuck in protection patterns
Because your body doesn’t need endless repetition of a movement pattern that fights against biomechanics and the nervous system.
It needs to feel safe, connected, and supported by a nervous system that stabilizes instead of being sent into survival mode like crunches promote.
That’s exactly why I created the video above for you.
It’s honestly one of my favorite things to witness in this work.
And if you want to learn more about the backstory behind why crunches create more protection and dysfunction, check out the deeper video I shared inside my free Facebook group.
I’d love to hear what you notice when you try this approach instead.
