Do you ever get frustrated by breath exercises?
If you are IN survival mode (flight, flight, freeze) all the breathing exercises IN the world won’t be effective and can even be counterproductive causing you to feel more anxious!
To get the most out of any breathing exercises or meditation practice start by priming the Nervous System.
That’s just what this week’s video is all about!
I created this meditation using somatic exercises based on developmental movements & reflexes to prepare the nervous system.
We gently coax the Nervous System out of FFF, to help you drop INto the present moment and connect to the safety withIN!
It’s a simple, easy way (no equipment required) to find the EASE, go deeper with breath and realize a more calm state!
Even if you aren’t IN survival mode you can take your breathing and meditation practice deeper and realize even more calm with this approach!
This meditation is done completely IN seated so everyone can access it! You could even do this IN your office–it’s a great break during your work day!
I shared more detail about the first exercise, the Moro reflex, which is tied to the 1st breath of life, IN last weeks Brain, Body, Biome INspo IN our FB community. You can catch that video HERE. Wait until you see my special guest!
I hope you find this sequence nourishes your nervous system & supports you IN breathing easier!
Keep Moving & Breathing,
Kelly
