Hey friends,

At first glance, this short sequence might look simple. But there’s a lot happening here.

This movement is all about inner organization. When the brain and body are connected, the nervous system feels supported so that focus and concentration start to come online more naturally. You don’t have to force it. Your system knows what to do when it feels safe and organized from the inside out.

What I love about this sequence is that it goes deep and supports the brain and body at the same time.

There’s the benefit of weight bearing on all fours, which I love for many reasons. It supports shoulder and spinal stability, and weight bearing through the arms is so important!

The Lazy 8 movement is great at integrating the brain and body for ease with focus and concentration. It’s also fantastic for the eyes, helping with tracking, reading, and comprehension, helping us to process information with greater ease & efficiency.

The Mouse, Cat, Dog movement is actually the symmetrical tonic neck reflex. This reflex supports the health of the entire spine and plays a big role in focus and attention. This one is especially important for those with ADHD.

This is why I often say you don’t need more movement. You need the right movement.

Movement that helps your brain and body communicate instead of feeling like they’re working in separate zip codes.

There is a lot packed into this short sequence. When you give your nervous system what it needs, you often get more return with less effort.
