Whether it’s fresh grief or something that resurfaces from years ago, it’s all valid and deserving of space to be felt and processed.
I’ve been bumping into some old grief myself this past week. I wasn’t expecting it, but walking past Santa🎅 at a store brought me right back to a moment almost 10 years ago when I took my daughter to see Santa at the mall.
When he asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she looked up with her eyes wide open and said IN her sweet 3.5-year-old voice “a baby sister.”
I remember how the tears stung my eyes as I fought to hold them back. We had just completed our final course of fertility treatments, and they hadn’t worked. She didn’t notice, thankfully, but I think Santa knew. I mean, Santa’s supposed to know everything, right?
Here’s the thing: when we don’t fully process grief or intense emotions, they don’t just disappear. They stay with us, showing up later in our bodies—an achy back, tight shoulders, or that constant sense of tension.
That’s why I’ve shared the short (less than 4 minutes!) video above. It’s a gentle flow to help you settle yourself from the INside out, acknowledge those intense emotions, and begin to process them.
