Anyone else STILL feeling like they’re walking around in a fog after the time change?
It’s amazing how just one hour can throw everything off! If you’re finding it tough to get back into the rhythm, you are IN good company!!
I’m back with a few simple, practical tips to help ease the transition and support your cortisol & sleep-wake cycle!! Let’s bring some energy and balance back!
Tip 1: Get that morning light boost 🌞 Your body is craving sunlight to help reset your cortisol levels. If you can, try to get some natural light soon after you wake up—even 5-10 minutes can make a difference! And if the weather isn’t cooperating, a “happy light” box can be a great alternative. Think of it as a mini sun that helps your body understand, “Yes, it’s morning” so it can naturally reset your hormones.
Tip 2: Move your body to feel present and energized Nervous System Regulation movements are perfect for gently waking up the body and shifting into “awake” mode as IN the video above. (BONUS points if you can take this outside IN the morning for double the benefits!) Simple somatic movements keep you grounded and boost your energy without the caffeine crash. I shared a few movement tips in our latest Brain + Body + Biome INspo session in our FB group—head over HERE to catch it if you missed it!
Tip 3: Give your screens a bedtime 📴 Try setting aside screens an hour or two before bed. I know it’s easier said than done, but it makes a world of difference. And in the morning, avoid reaching for your phone as soon as you wake up—give your mind and body a little extra time to get embodied first. If possible, keep devices out of the bedroom entirely. Your nervous system will thank you!

Wishing you restful nights and energized mornings!
