Jacquelene Boucard

Jacquelene Boucard

Jacquelene Boucard joined the Functional Fitness team in March of 2006. She graduated cum laude from the University of Utah with a BFA in dance. It was there she began her study of kinesiology, igniting an interest in anatomical alignment and injury prevention. She moved to Michigan and danced professionally with the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble for seven years. Several years ago she discovered Pilates as a means to extend and support her dance and teaching career. An avid student and teacher of movement, Jacquelene currently works with a wide range of dance and Pilates students of all ages.

Jacquelene has been teaching for more than 14 years, enjoying the opportunity to expand the quality of movement and well-being in others. In addition to Functional Fitness, her teaching affiliates include Oakland University, the EDE Center for Dance, Detroit Skating Club and Dans Articom in Belgium, where she lived for two years. She completed her Pilates study with Polestar Pilates where she was able to blend her movement/kinesiology background with her passion for Pilates. Currently she serves as both practitioner and group coordinator at Functional Fitness.

Jacquelene is grateful for a wonderful support team at home — her husband and their dog! She enjoys family, food, travel and the outdoors.
